Curious 3,400-Year-Old Canaanite Figurine Discovered by Young Boy in Israel

0

Beit She’an Valley is a National Park in northern Israel. It is also one of the most important excavation sites in a country which still hides many secrets. One of the more recent discoveries at the location was uncovered by a 7-year-old boy, who found a 3,400-year-old figurine.

According to Heritage Daily, the boy, named Ori Grinhot, was hiking in the area of the National Park with his friends and a father of one of them. When he stumbled across the statue on the Tel Rehov archaeological site, the stone shifted and the boy saw an image of a person covered with soil. He started to rub away the mud and found an ancient figurine. The rare clay figurine is a representation of a naked woman. It was made by pressing the soft clay material into a mold.

The boy showed his discovery to his companions and one of the adults called the Israel Antiquities Authority immediately. They brought the treasure to the office, where the IAA decided to award Ori with a certificate of good citizenship. He was also noted as the official discoverer of the figurine.

Since then, Ori Grinhot has become something of a local hero, and he received an award during a special ceremony at his school. His teacher, Esther Ladelle said, “Archaeologists came into the classroom during a Torah class, just as we had learned that [Biblical matriarch] Rachel had stolen the idols of her father Lavan.”

According to Amihai Mazar, professor emeritus at Hebrew University and head of archaeological excavations at Tel Rehov, the statue discovered by the boy is typical of the Canaanite culture dated to the period from the 15th to 13th centuries BC. Amihai Mazar told the Times of Israel:

“Some researchers believe that the figure depicted here is a flesh and blood woman, while others see it as Astarte, goddess of fertility, known from Canaanite and the Bible. There is a high probability that when the term ‘idol’ is mentioned in the Bible, it in fact refers to figurines such as this.”

For centuries, Beit She’an played an important role because of its location close to the Jordan River Valley and the Jezreel Valley. It was significant from the earliest known period of its existence until modern times.

In 1933, American archaeologist G.M. Fitzgerald from the University of Pennsylvania Museum started the first excavations. He dug on Tell el-Hisn, meaning ”castle hill”. Tell el-Hisn is a large mound, which allowed him to date the earliest settlement back in the Chalcolithic Period (some 5,000 to 6,000 years ago). The excavations proved that people also lived there during the Bronze age and after.

The American expedition discovered a large cemetery which was in use from the Bronze Age to Byzantine times. They also examined tombs discovered a little bit earlier, in 1926. According to the results of the research, the burials were dated as Canaanite graves made between 2000 and 1600 BC.

In the 15th century BC, Beit She’an was conquered by the army of pharaoh Thutmose III. Egyptians changed the organization of the city, rebuilt the town and influenced the region with their own style and symbolism. During this period, a large Canaanite temple (39 meters (128 feet) in length) also appeared.

The artifacts discovered around the temple suggest that there was a mixture of Egyptian and Canaanite religious cults inside. Consistent with the hieroglyphic stele discovered in a temple, it was dedicated to the god Mekal. During the next three centuries, the Egyptians allowed the local people to adore their own god next to the Egyptian deities.

There are a few impressive monuments of Rameses II and steles of his father Seti I as well. The city was destroyed by fire around 1150 BC. Shortly after the destruction, around 1100 BC, the area of Beit She’an was conquered by the Philistines. They used it as a base for their army.

The term Canaanite is usually related to the Bible nowadays, which is largely due to the story of the Saul and David. In 1004, the Jewish king Saul lost a battle near the city. The Philistines who defeated him hung his body on the walls of Beit She’an.

King David wanted to punish the Philistines, so he conquered the city and also took the area of Ashkelon, Gath, Gaza, Ekron, and Ashdod. The town became a part of a huge kingdom, and was ruled by the biblical kings David and Solomon.

The name Canaan comes from the Hebrew language. It appears for the first time perhaps in the Amarna Letters from the 14th century BC. It was also found on Phoenician coins from the 1st century BC.

Baffling 150km-long wall in Jordan is pre-Roman, say archaeologists

0

A mysterious 150-kilometer long stone wall stretching across part of southern Jordan has tentatively been dated to pre-Roman times.
The wall, called Khatt Shebib by local Bedouin, was first documented by the British diplomat Sir Alec Kirkbride in 1948 as he flew across Jordan by plane. Only now that the wall has been studied in detail, using low-level oblique photography from helicopters fielded by the Aerial Photographic Archive for Archaeology in the Middle East, have its complexities come to light.
Khatt Shebib actually consists of several walls, some branching off a main line, while elsewhere, double walls run side by side. Ultimately its overall length is about 150 km.
“Mapping it on the ground would be a huge exercise in view of its length, and in places it has been destroyed, so old aerial photographs are especially useful,” says David Kennedy, head of the expedition and a researcher from the University of Western Australia told Haaretz.
What the purpose of the vast edifice might have been still eludes scientists.
No obstacle to marauders

Close-up of the Shatt Kebib near Petra: It’s probably impossible to know who built this mysterious, monumental wall because it consisted of stones piled on one another, without style. Robert Bewley / Aerial Photographic Archive for Archaeology in the Middle East
The various walls comprising the Khatt Shebib are believed to have been a meter to a meter and a half in height, and made up of stones heaped one on top of the other. Given its length, building it was a massive endeavor, whenever it was done.
Sir Alec and many after him assumed that the wall structures dated to Roman times, mainly because of the many Roman border fortresses lined up in its vicinity. Another archaeologist of the period, Gerald Lankester Harding, the director of the Department of Antiquities of Jordan from 1936-1956, suggested that a similar but short stretch of wall in the northern Jordanian section was a defense against cavalry.
Kennedy easily dismisses the notion. “It is highly unlikely that cavalry would operate in a landscape with thick boulders everywhere,” he says, adding that in his view, the wall had not been built for defense: “It’s too low and has too many gaps.”
That said, the Khatt Shebib could still have been the settled farmers’ not entirely effectual way of fending off marauding nomads. Their raids could present a problem even for the most sophisticated military state. Further east in the desert, several forts had been constructed in the steppe to control important water points and routes from marauders.
Or: “I think the best explanation is that it was a demarcation of some kind, between a region of farming and that of herding,” Kennedy suggests, though there is no evidence to support the theory. Even so, he postulates that parallel stretches of walls represent “repositioning” of the boundary in keeping with changes in the local climate, for example. The wall could have served as a demarcation between the desert and the area in which farming was possible.
Ancient towers in a mysterious landscape
The wall is dotted with hundreds of small towers, each measuring two to four meters in diameter. Kennedy suspects that some were built after the wall was constructed.
In any case, though the towers could be watchtowers, Kennedy believes they did not serve a military purpose. The small towers along the wall remind him more of small shelters from sandstorms for hunters in the deep desert. Or they could have been used to store food. He admits that all these possibilities are just guesses.
Since the wall was built of loose fieldstones, it is impossible to tell who first constructed it. But it was a huge effort. Even if the wall was only one meter high or so, gathering the heavy stones and constructing them into a wall was no easy task, and could be indicative of central organization, archaeologists say.

The Shatt Khebib is dotted with the remains of hundreds of small towers, whose use perplexes archaeologists. David Donald Boyer / Aerial Photographic Archive for Archaeology in the Middle East
It is also possible that local communities saw what their neighbors had done and imitated them. The building technique is certainly simple nough.
The postulation that it was erected well before the Romans invaded the region is based on ceramic finds at some of the archaeological sites on or near the wall that pre-date the Romans. However, the pottery sherds found are too few to be clearly indicative of the period or periods the walls were in use. Fieldwork has yielded ceramics from almost all time periods. However, the ceramic evidence predominantly date to the Iron Age.
Most likely, says Kennedy, the wall was built in stretches, perhaps over a long period of time. “More fieldwork should be directed to some of the places where there is a settlement site associated with the wall. Dating the settlement and determining its exact relationship to the wall may provide a closer and more reliable guide to date. My best guess is that it is Iron Age or Nabataean.”
“We have known about this enigmatic wall feature for decades now, but the interesting contribution of the new research is the suggestion that it is pre-Roman,” Erez Ben-Yosef from Tel Aviv University, who worked in southern Jordan and currently heads the Timna Valley Project, told Haaretz. “It might be related to the border administration of the Nabataeans or the Edomites, but as was stated by Kennedy and his colleagues, more definite answers should await field research.”
The wall and towers are just one of the many enigmatic features being found in the deserts of Jordan referred by the Bedouins as “The Works of the Old Men.” Giant geoglyphs and earthworks in the shape of rings, kites, and wheels, practically invisible on the ground but clearly evident from the air, have given rise to theories – some rather wacky – but very few answers.

Archaeological mysteries in Israel:
Israel also has its share of mysterious giant works, not least the 5,000-year old, moon-shaped structure some 150 meters long just northwest of the Sea of Galilee. Pottery excavated from the crescent-shaped monument dates it to between 3050 and 2650 BCE, making it older then the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt.
Another is the gigantic circular structure “with a diameter greater than the length of a Boeing 747” found at the bottom of the Sea of Galilee. Also made of piled stones, archaeologists have been helpless to date it, or figure out why it was built.
Yet another mystery is much smaller in scale, if no less baffling to archaeologists: Mysterious stone carvings made thousands of years ago that were uncovered an excavation underneath Jerusalem

The Magnetic Fat Boys of Guatemala

magnetic fat boys

These Pre-Olmec figures are not only strange looking, but provide proof that our ancestors possessed knowledge of magnetic properties. How was is it possible for them to have such knowledge? The statues of the so-called fat boys were found in 1976 by geographer Vincent Malmström.

These unusual figures are located in the town square of La Democracia in south Guatemala. Like most ancient statues, these are large, with human heads and bodies, but lack genitalia. What makes them different is the fact that they are fat and possess magnetic properties.

What’s even stranger is that these stone figures date back 4000 years ago, yet the earliest evidence of experiments with magnetics comes from China and only dates back 2000 years ago.

“Despite not being beautiful works of art, the fat boys possess a certain characteristic that makes them a true mystery – most of them are magnetically charged,” explains Malmström.

fatboys

If the sculpture depicts a head, more often than not it is magnetic on the right side of the head. If it depicts a body, then the charge is near the navel. Despite this, no holes have been found in the bodies to signalize some sort of manipulation. Every sculpture has two poles of opposite charges which are located near one another and together form U-shaped magnetic field.

At the moment, there are 12 known such statues, and 11 of them are in the town square, while the 12th is located at the entrance of the town museum. Five of the statues represent human bodies, six are heads and one of them looks like an enormous bowl.

fatboys2

“Four of the five bodies have magnetic properties, as well as four of the six heads,” adds Malmström. The fat boys obviously come from the Pre-Olmec period – they are made by the ancestors of the earliest known civilization of Mesoamerica. The sculptors did not place stones with magnetic charge in the sculptures – the stones had already been magnetized.”

Of course, we have to ask ourselves if the sculptors did have even the slightest knowledge that their sculptures had such magnetic force. And if they were aware, how did they figure it out without having any iron? Had everything been a matter of luck? And if they, in fact had knowledge of this did they put the magnetized parts on the right side of the head and navel on purpose?

One thing is for sure – the magnetic properties of the fat boys of Guatemala are one of the many examples that ancient civilizations were far more intelligent than what we give them credit for.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz Wins Iowa’s Republican Caucus

0

cruz_wins_0_1454360023

After months of debate and heated rhetoric, Texas Senator Ted Cruz rode a wave of anti-establishment sentiment to victory in Iowa’s Republican caucuses on Monday. With 99% of precincts reporting,  Cruz has capture 28% of caucus-goers. Billionaire Donald Trump will finish in second with 24%, and Florida Senator Marco Rubio will finish in a strong third with 23%.

Both Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio outperformed the polling leading up to the Iowa caucuses. According to the Real Clear Politics average, Cruz was polling at 24% while Marco Rubio was polling at roughly 17%.

Rounding out the top five is retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson who trails Marco Rubio and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul who finished in fifth place.

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, after a disappointing finish in Iowa, has announced that he will be suspending his campaign. Huckabee tweeted out:

Despite the fact that a blizzard is bearing down on the Hawkeye State, Monday’s projected caucus turnout is expected break the previous GOP record of 122k caucus-goers which was set in 2012. Some precincts are said to have run out of ballots and Fox News is reporting that the Republican turnout could be north of 170,000 participants.

On the other side of the political aisle, former Baltimore Mayor Martin O’Malley, who took around 1% of Iowa caucus-goers, has announced that he will be suspending his campaign following his weak performance.

Election 2016 About Obama’s Visceral Hatred of America

0

Election 2016 is about the turnaround survival or continuing downfall of Western Society as we know it.

The 2016 presidential race is not about whether Donald Trump would make a better president than Senator Ted Cruz.

It’s not about Fox News, nor about the shameful way the ‘journalists’ of the day now ‘moderate’ presidential debates.

It’s not about the latest National Enquirer type, 11th-hour smear, lies and claimed Sainthood.  That was both the 2008 and 2012 election.

The 2016 election is about the possibility of releasing the USA from its lockdown of hatred; a hatred that has all but swiped America off the world map;  a hatred that gutted America’s role as leader of the Free World, the same way as it gutted the nation’s Armed Forces; a hatred that allows murderers and rapists to be set free from prisons; a hatred that gives carte blanche to ISIS, which the current administration refuses to even name, and everything in between.

This election is about how even after We the People empowered the Republican ‘Opposition’ with two midterm victories over a 7-year-span, most Republicans took full advantage of that power to promptly jump into the enemy camp.

Election 2016 is hurtling its way toward Western Society with what has to be the biggest Unsolved Mystery of all time:  Why have most Congress members given President Barack Obama time and space for his crippling, visceral hatred of America via a phone and a pen?

Why is it that even in the heat of this campaign’s primaries there hasn’t been much mention of Obama’s hatred of America endangering not only the USA but the survival of a Western Society under the threat of Islamic terrorism’s expanding caliphate?

Why does the digital world keep sending out the lullaby lies that Obama will be impeached any day now,  or that Hillary Clinton will be wearing an orange jumpsuit by the time Election Day rolls around?

How does the harsh reality that Obama hates America continue to be ignored in the highest of places?

How can Pope Francis, representing a religion based on Christ’s never ending Love, ignore Obama’s hatred and lend his name to the outrageous lie that global warming/climate danger is a bigger threat to mankind than Islamist terrorism?

How can British Prime Minister David Cameron ignore the kind of visual hatred that is taking down America and still proudly refer to himself as Obama’s “brother”?

How can folk who consider themselves civilized ignore the fact that the Obama administration still supports Planned Parenthood amid all its scandals and still uses tax payer dollars to support abortion world wide?

How is it even possible that now that all of Hillary Clinton is in full view on public display that digital giant Google is running her campaign?

The Democrats and their powerful social media friends operate from a kind of thinking that they own the masses through technology.

For the sake of your loved ones make no mistake about what Election 2016 is about:

Obama seeks to continue his legacy of hatred through the former lying Secretary of State that allowed him to get away with Benghazi and other foreign policy measures that weakened the position of America in the world.

Election 2016 is more important than any other to date by virtue of it’s being about the very future of your children and grandchildren.

Election 2016 is about the turnaround survival or continuing downfall of Western Society as we know it.

May the power of prayer drive millions,  including even those still chasing rainbows out in the weeds;  put aside both apathy and egos to bring a merciful end to Obama’s more than 7-year-long destruction of America propelled by his visceral unreasonable hatred for the country that gave him everything.

Will Smith Says Anti-Islam Propaganda Is Forcing Him to Run For U.S. President

0
maxresdefault
New York – In the wake of the bigotry and anti-Muslim rhetoric that has surged in the last few months, American actor Will Smith, who is against discrimination and racial profiling, said he would consider running for U.S. President.

During an interview on CBS’ “Sunday Morning” show, the Hollywood celebrity said he feels compelled to run for political office and end the “crazy kinds of stuff” candidates are promoting.

“If people keep saying all the crazy kinds of stuff they’ve been saying on the news lately about walls and Muslims, they’re going to force me into the political arena,” Smith said.

“I mean, I gotta be the president,” he said. “Come on!” he joked implying there is no doubt as of which role he wants to occupy.

Not content with being “the biggest movie star in the world” as he has been called, “The Fresh Prince’s” dreams are way beyond the entertainment industry.

“I realized that the dream was too small,” he stressed. “I realized that there was no way that I was put here just to be a movie star.”

A few weeks ago, according to the Huffington Post, Will Smith declared his political interest at the Hollywood Reporter’s Actor Roundtable.

“There might be a future out there for me,” he was quoted as saying in regards to his chances of holding political office in the U.S.

The “Men In Black” star has openly expressed his support for Muslims since the 9/11 terrorist attacks when he appeared in a video with former heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali to defend Islam and support tolerance.

“It was hate, not religion that motivated the horrible acts of September 11”, he said at the time, while calling on American not to “respond to mindless hatred with blind vengeance”.

Actor, producer, rapper, and songwriter, Will Smith has been nominated for five Golden Globe Awards and three Academy Awards and has won four Grammy Awards.

His latest film, “Concussion,” where he plays forensic pathologist Dr. Bennet Omalu, who discovers a connection between football injuries and brain damage, has earned him his third Oscar nomination.

Obama issues executive order outlawing criticism of executive orders

0

obama_bill_signing_080211_1

In a sweeping move, President Obama has used an executive order to outlaw all criticism of executive orders.

“With this equal and legal measure, which fairly silences both favorable and negative criticism, I will finally be able to direct the executive and get some peace and quiet around here,” said Obama.

A super-relaxed Obama said he wishes he would have thought of it sooner.

At press time, no one had anything to say about the order.

Secrets Of The Rothschild “The World In 2016” Economist Cover Decoded!

0

Well, here it is! The latest encoded message is out and it comes in the form of The Economists front cover for “The World In 2016” edition. This is becoming an annual event for conspiracy analysts & researchers of the occult  on a par with ComiCon for the Sci-Fi fans.

The Economist is 50% owned by the Rothschild, and that in itself should be reason enough for us to take some time out to see just what it is they are predicting for the year ahead, and just what else they have encoded into their encrypted pictorial view of 2016.

The art itself was produced by artist Matt Herring and comes in two forms. There is the actual cover, which is a condensed version of a larger double spread. Both images are included below and should be used alongside the podcast to make it more understandable.

We get into why some people are in black and white & some are in color, and some are a mixture of both – but what is it that the Economist are trying to hint at?

Angela Merkel is out in front and this should be no surprise due to the ongoing migration crisis and ongoing Euro troubles.

Hilary Clinton is the only 2016 Presidential candidate to appear on the front cover of the magazine and we discuss whether this is a hint that the Rothchilds have picked their puppet for the next 4 to 8 years ahead?

When we look at the bigger spread, we see Bill Clinton out in front on the right hand side of the image and we discuss just what this signifies.

We go over some of the more interesting characters to appear in the image and then get into the strange iconography, symbols and occult messages that are hidden in plain sight throughout the image.

One image that caught my eye is the sun-dial at the top. There is a butterfly and if you are to count round the dial, it appears between the 3 and 4 – could this be some kind of “transformation” or “metamorphosis” of the sun due to take place? Or with this being a Rothschild publication and concerned with economics, could it spell some turmoil or change in the money world?

Nano gets into the strange image at the bottom with the baby apparently inheriting the world. I also found a similar image on the Economist Facebook page and I have included it below at number 4! What are they trying to depict? The end of the old age, and the ushering in of the new one?

There is another image that goes along with the story and that can be found below at number 3 – and this is a plethora of information to be decoded. We give it our best go but there’s so much in there that we would love you to leave your finding in the comments section below.

I also went and watched the beginning of The Economists video that goes along with the article and what i found in the opening sequence is truly fascinating. I have included the video below, and i have taken a still image *number 5* that shows what can only be described as two suns! Whats more intriguing is the fact that at the time it appears, the commentator is talking about “big stories in the year ahead”!

Are they hinting that we are finally going to discover that we are in a binary star system? Could it be to signify an incoming planetary body? Who know, but it makes for great discussion!

The World is no longer oblivious to the guiles of the elite and the ways they’ve been able to impose their will on the world. It took Russia, a nation under true Christian leadership, to present the world the workings of evil that has been masquerading as good. How much longer will they be allowed their demonic driven quest for control? Time’s up for these Satanic elite. They will not have a place to hide. It’s over for the serpent seed. We’re taking our countries and our earth back.
